LED chips, or light-emitting diodes, are a type of decorative lighting product that is often used in the commercial and home lighting industries. They not only play a role in lighting, but also because their light is relatively soft, they are used for interior decoration, which can adjust people’s moods and relieve people’s stress to a certain extent. Since the types and types of LED chips on the market are very diverse, what details should consumers pay attention to during the purchase process?
1. LED chip brightness
LED chips of different colors have different luminous intensities. The commonly used units are mcd and lm, i.e. millicandela. The higher the value, the greater the luminous intensity, that is, the brighter. This is an important indicator for selecting LED lamps. The higher the brightness requirement, the more expensive the lamps are, because the price of high-brightness LED chips is relatively expensive.
2. LED packaging
The packaging of LED chips is divided into resin packaging and silicone packaging. The price of resin packaging is relatively cheap, because the heat dissipation performance is slightly worse, and everything else is the same. The heat dissipation performance of silicone packaging is good, so the price is slightly more expensive than that of resin packaging.
3. Service life
Although the service life of LED is 80,000 to 100,000 hours, since LED is a constant current component, the constant current effect of LED lamps produced by different manufacturers is different, and of course the service life is also different.
4. Color temperature
When purchasing, pay special attention to the color temperature below 3300K, the light color is reddish, giving people a warm feeling; there is a stable atmosphere and a warm feeling, commonly known as warm color temperature. The color temperature is between 3000–6000K. People do not have a particularly obvious visual psychological effect under this color tone, and have a refreshing feeling; so it is called “neutral” color temperature. The color temperature exceeds 6000K, the light color is blue, giving people a cool feeling, commonly known as cold color temperature.
5. LED color
Many small packaging factories do not have spectrometers and color separation machines, so it is difficult to guarantee quality. LEDs that have not been spectrometered and color separated have poor color consistency, and of course the price difference is relatively large. 6. LED chip
The origin of the chip determines the price and the quality of the lamp. Customers can often judge the quality of LED lamps by understanding the LED chip supplier used in LED lamps, because the biggest factor determining the price of LEDs is the chip. Therefore, by understanding the chip supplier, you can roughly determine the price range of LED lamps. This is one of the effective ways for experienced buyers to evaluate suppliers.
